Passionate People Serving
It has been an interesting and challenging year once again.
The uncertainty that was supposed to dissipate seemed to linger throughout this year, too.
Yet, in the midst, there are bright spots and people leading to better outcomes and futures.
A group of people at the top of that list are the development professionals, and in particular, those who have a passion for planned giving.
These development professionals at charities and advisors in the community that integrate planned giving into what they do continue to lead and make a difference.
Just a few days ago, those of us who are members of the Georgia Planned Giving Council gathered for our annual social event for a time of celebration and connecting.
What stands out to me about this event is that these are some of the most passionate people about helping donors do what’s in their best interest for themselves, their families, and the causes they care about deeply.
In fact, in this group, we realized that being more generous could be one of the best things donors can do with their money for themselves and their family.
When people give generously, not just from their cash but from their assets, often with significant tax benefits, they tend to be happier, healthier, and create highly beneficial relationships in the community, with causes and their family.
It is a privilege to be part of the Georgia Planned Giving Council community of people, for who we are together and the great work that is being accomplished in the community and within families.
It is more blessed to give than to receive.
