The news today comes at us fast and furious. It is laced with emotionally charged words, regardless of which side of the argument you are on.
But think for a second about the “news” of your day.
Do you have “good” and “bad” days?
We all do, right?
We tend to think about the the information or news we get on those given days as either “good” or “bad” news.
I submit that we do this because the media influences around us do this, and it seeps into our view of the things we can control and can’t control.
Let me put forth an idea about the news that comes across your path in a given day:
Instead of thinking about it as “good” or “bad,” why not think of it as just “news.” There is no “good” news or “bad” news just news.
Then, discern what to do with that news based on what you CAN control, as opposed to what you cannot control.
As you do this for yourself, you will become an even more invaluable asset to your donors that are struggling to make sense of all the “news” happing in their life too.
