Seasons

Seasons

One season can tend to drag on, which those of us who have lived up north can attest to.

The bitter cold, and gray skies along with snow and ice can linger way too long and the winter season can seem to never end.

But it does. It always does.

Winter eventually, and ALWAYS, shifts to Spring time.

Then there is Summer, and the harvest of Fall.

As Scotty McCreery puts it in his song, “Seasons Change”:

“Wintertime, springtime, summertime, fall
Good times, bad times, been through ‘em all
Just when you think you can’t make it through the rain
Your seasons change

When you just can’t find the right piece to the puzzle
There’s no light at the end of the tunnel
Don’t sweat it, don’t fret it, put your boots on the ground
It’ll come back around

‘Cause sometimes going through all the bad weather
Makes the sun shine that much better”

As Georgia and other states begin to open back up for business, it feels like we’re moving into springtime.

As we do, be prepared, as those of us from up north always are, for the “Easter” and May surprise snow.

There may be many unwelcome “winter” reports on the economy, jobs, the market, and new COVID-19 outbreaks as we live in springtime.

But know that even if that spring “snow” does come, it’s still springtime with summer and fall to come. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel with summer and fall still to come, and they will.

Navigating the seasons for you and your donors is a big donor relationship opportunity right now.

Lessons from previous winters can provide some insight and guidance on what to do and how to operate in this winter season.
