Once a year on Arbor Day, members of the Alpharetta community gather together to celebrate the spectacular natural areas present in our city, including the Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway, the Alpharetta Arboretum at Wills Park, and Rock Mill Park.
This year’s Arbor Day in Alpharetta Celebration will take place in Rock Mill Park, located on Kimball Bridge Road. Rock Mill Park, in particular, is noted for containing a large variety of tree species native to our state. You can join your family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate the nature and trees of Alpharetta.
Arbor Day will begin on March 9th at 10 a.m. with the planting of several trees and will continue with an awards ceremony announcing the Arbor Day Geo-Hunt content winners. The celebration will last until approximately noon.
