On Saturday, August 4th, the city of Alpharetta and the American Legion Post 201 will hold the Annual Old Soldiers Day Parade, marking its 60th year of celebrating the veterans of our country.
The parade is sure to be a fun-filled time for the whole family. This year’s theme is “Three Score and Forever More – Alpharetta Honors Veterans.” The parade will feature military units, floats, marching bands, classic cars, clowns, and [what parade would be complete without] candy!
At the end of the parade (at American Legion Post 201 on Wills Road), there will be more fun activities, entertainment, and prizes, as well as free hot dogs and beverages.
The parade starts at 2 South Main Street at Alpharetta City Hall. Beginning at 9:15am, the band will play. The program starts at 10am, with the parade following at 10:30am.
You’ll be able to watch the parade along Milton Avenue and Main Street/Highway 9.
