The entrepreneurs I know care deeply about what they do and the difference they are making in the world. Most aren’t worries really, but in perhaps weak moments they get a bit anxious about how things will come together and ultimately work out.
Seth Godin highlights that idea that perhaps anxiety stems from trying to control things you can’t control. This leads to anxiety.
One Hebrew Proverb says, “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down.” In other words, it isn’t going to help us entrepreneurs reach our goal any better or any faster.
Clear away the uncontrollable we can’t control, control what we can and in particular our own state of mind. And recognize that we really care deeply about what we do and we aught to just get on with it leaving anxieties in the dust as we press on!
